Introduction

Hey everyone! I'm Guilherme, but you can call me G. I fell in love with the underwater world when I was just a kid, thanks to my dad, who was a crazy free diver and spearfishing addict. By the time I was 7 or 8, I was tagging along on their underwater adventures every chance I got. Surfing is another one of my big passions. When the waves were big, I was surfing; when it was calm, I was diving. At 18, I got my diving degree from the Portuguese Federation of Underwater Activities. I've kept up with freediving and spearfishing my whole life, earning more certifications in both apnea and surfing. Now, I'm combining all that knowledge and experience to train athletes and regular people to boost their performance, safety, and confidence in the ocean.​

What is Apnea

 “Apnea” is just a fancy word for holding your breath. In water sports, it means voluntarily holding your breath. Think of Surf Apnea as high-intensity training in a pool using apnea techniques to mimic the situations you face in the ocean. Basically, you’re holding your breath while your heart is racing, just like when you're out surfing.​​
